Hope Walks is seeking a senior fractional technology leader to build a 3-year roadmap, prioritise risks, and guide infrastructure across a multinational nonprofit operating in 15 countries.
Hope Walks operates with significant digital complexity across 15 countries, supporting clubfoot treatment, family care programmes, a growing fundraising technology stack, a child-level data system built on DHIS2, and emerging AI applications. This is a strategic, roadmap-building engagement rather than a day-to-day operations role. The Advisor's primary job is to translate a broad set of technology needs into a realistic, sequenced plan the organisation can afford and execute across its global footprint.
The engagement is intended to be front-loaded, with intensive involvement during assessment, roadmap development, and initial infrastructure build, before gradually transitioning into a lighter ongoing advisory capacity. Throughout, the Advisor will work in close partnership with the Manager of Technology and Data, co-executing foundational work rather than simply handing off a completed design.
- Assess the organisation's current global technology, data, and vendor environment across programmes, fundraising, and administrative functions
- Develop a 3-year technology and data roadmap connecting organisational strategy to programme delivery, cybersecurity, data protection, and AI
- Co-execute identity and access management rollout directly alongside the Manager of Technology and Data, including multi-factor authentication and device-management standards
- Build a risk-based data protection framework identifying highest-exposure countries and recommending a sequenced approach to data governance policy
- Assess the existing managed services provider engagement and the Virtuous/Salesforce integration, and recommend a CRM and fundraising technology roadmap
- Develop an AI governance framework and present prioritised risks and investment recommendations to senior leadership and the Board
- 10 or more years of progressive technology leadership experience, including prior service as a CIO, vCIO, or equivalent senior strategic role
- Demonstrated track record building and prioritising multi-year technology roadmaps for resource-constrained or multinational organisations
- Experience defining identity, access management, and device-management foundations at an organisational level
- Strong project management skills with a history of delivering technology improvements on time and within budget
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to translate complex technical concepts for non-technical executives and board members
- Genuine alignment with Hope Walks' Christian mission and comfort operating within a faith-based organisational context
Hope Walks is a faith-based nonprofit dedicated to treating clubfoot and providing holistic family care across 15 countries. The organisation operates a growing technology stack including a child-level data system built on DHIS2 and a Virtuous/Salesforce fundraising platform, and is expanding its use of AI applications in support of its global health mission.
