Interim Senior Vice President, Finance

A global organisation is seeking an interim Senior Vice President of Finance for a 6-12 month engagement based in Waterloo, Ontario. The executive will report to the CFO and take overall direction of finance, accounting, tax planning, credit and treasury activities across the organisation's worldwide operations.

The mandate spans global finance leadership, planning and performance management, financial control and compliance, and transactions plus systems transformation. The SVP will partner with the executive team and strategic business unit managers, lead the FP&A and Group Controller teams, ensure IFRS compliance, manage external audit relationships, and support M&A due diligence and integration work alongside new technology implementations.

• Direct global finance, accounting, tax, treasury and credit functions and lead senior finance leaders including the VP of FP&A and VP Group Controller
• Lead long-range planning, annual operating budgets, quarterly closes, monthly reporting and board meeting preparation
• Present financial results, forecasts and cash flow statements to the CFO, CEO and Executive Committee
• Maintain IFRS-compliant financial reporting and robust internal controls, including management of foreign exchange exposure and external audit relationships
• Support M&A due diligence, deal execution and post-acquisition integration in collaboration with the CFO
• Build and develop high-performing, culturally sensitive finance teams capable of operating across multiple regions and business environments

• 15 or more years of progressive finance leadership experience in a large international organisation
• Demonstrated record of leading finance functions across global scope, including FP&A, controllership and treasury
• Proven ability to drive operational transformation, margin expansion and disciplined performance management
• Strong command of IFRS and relevant financial and tax regulations
• Experience supporting M&A transactions including due diligence and integration
• University or master's degree with a specialisation in Finance; MBA considered an asset
