Strategic Finance Director (NetSuite, Non-Profit) - Contract

Addison Group is seeking an experienced Strategic Finance Director to provide senior-level financial leadership for a nonprofit client during an organisational transition. The engagement runs 4 to 6 months, is fully remote, and carries potential to convert to a permanent role. The contractor will own the fiscal-year budget cycle, produce executive and board-level financial deliverables, and work closely with department leaders to validate assumptions and surface financial risks.

Compensation is $55 to $67 per hour, with eligibility for medical, dental, and vision benefits, 401K, and monetary bonuses through Addison Group. Preferred candidates hold a CPA, MBA, or equivalent, though strong experience may substitute. Experience supporting organisational transitions or working with complex multi-entity revenue structures is advantageous.

• Lead the annual budgeting and forecasting cycle, including scenario and long-term forecast modelling
• Develop budgets, forecasts, dashboards, and reporting tools within NetSuite Planning and Budgeting
• Prepare budget-to-actual analyses, financial reports, and presentations for executive leadership and the Finance Committee
• Conduct workforce planning, compensation, vacancy, and staffing analyses
• Monitor restricted funding, grants, and complex revenue streams to ensure compliance and accuracy
• Partner with department leaders and budget owners to gather data, validate assumptions, and identify risks and opportunities

• 10 or more years of progressive experience in budgeting, forecasting, financial analysis, and reporting
• Advanced hands-on experience with NetSuite Planning and Budgeting
• Demonstrated nonprofit industry experience, including managing restricted funding and grants
• Strong Excel and financial modelling skills
• Experience preparing and presenting financial information to boards, committees, and executive leadership
• Ability to work independently, manage multiple deadlines, and adapt in a changing environment
