Senior Manager, Cybersecurity M&A Advisory
A consulting firm seeks an experienced cybersecurity leader to guide clients through mergers, acquisitions, divestitures, and integrations, building resilient security programmes from governance through to Day One readiness.
A rapidly growing consulting organisation is seeking a Senior Manager of Cybersecurity M&A Advisory to lead security workstreams across mergers, acquisitions, divestitures, carve-outs, and integration programmes. The role operates at the intersection of technology strategy and business transformation, guiding clients through standalone or integrated cybersecurity environment builds, including governance structures, security architecture, GRC, compliance, resilience planning, and organisational design.
Working alongside executive stakeholders, private equity firms, and portfolio company leadership, this professional will establish scalable security programmes aligned to long-term business objectives. The position is contract-to-hire, based across multiple US cities with a two-day on-site hybrid arrangement and approximately 30-50% client travel. - Serve as the primary cybersecurity advisor on post-close transaction engagements, including carve-outs and integrations.
- Evaluate existing cybersecurity capabilities across people, processes, and technologies to identify risks and improvement opportunities.
- Lead Day One readiness planning, transition execution, and long-term cybersecurity transformation efforts.
- Guide the selection, implementation, and optimisation of cybersecurity technologies and services across identity, cloud, and security operations domains.
- Manage project teams and oversee delivery quality across multiple concurrent client engagements.
- Leverage AI-powered tools and advanced analytics to accelerate analysis, improve insight generation, and enhance solution quality.
- 8+ years of experience leading cybersecurity programmes, initiatives, or consulting engagements.
- Demonstrated experience supporting M&A transactions, business separations, or integration initiatives.
- Strong working knowledge of cybersecurity domains including security architecture, GRC, incident response, cloud security, and data privacy.
- Expertise conducting cybersecurity assessments using frameworks such as NIST CSF or ISO 27001.
- Proven ability to manage complex projects from strategy through implementation and stakeholder adoption.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to present technical concepts clearly to executive audiences.
