Fractional People & HR Consultant: USA - West Coast

Rosie's People is an award-winning HR and People Operations consultancy serving founders, leadership teams and growing organisations across the UK and internationally. As its US client portfolio grows, the firm is building an approved network of independent HR consultants able to support clients in San Francisco, New York City and Washington DC, with applications from consultants elsewhere in the US also considered.

Successful applicants join the consultant network and are considered for client assignments as requirements arise. Assignments operate within agreed scope, reporting, escalation and quality standards as part of Rosie's People's managed consultancy service. This is a project-based, independent contractor arrangement with no guaranteed minimum hours.

• Provide day-to-day and strategic HR advisory to client organisations
• Manage employee relations matters and advise managers on complex People issues
• Support performance management, policy development and HR compliance activities
• Lead or contribute to organisational design, restructuring and M&A integration projects
• Deliver workforce planning, recruitment, onboarding and offboarding support
• Conduct HR audits and People-practice reviews for assigned clients

• Minimum five years of substantive HR or People Operations experience
• Strong practical knowledge of US employment law across supported jurisdictions
• Legal right to work as an independent contractor in the United States without sponsorship
• Ability to manage employee relations matters confidently with senior stakeholders
• Familiarity with modern HR systems, AI tools and collaborative technology
• SHRM, HRCI or equivalent qualification desirable; substantial practical experience also considered
