Contract Medical Director (Part-Time / PRN)

National Church Residences is seeking an experienced physician to serve as a contract Medical Director on a part-time or PRN basis. The role spans clinical oversight of a Continuing Care Retirement Community (CCRC) and support for a growing value-based primary care programme. The position is hybrid, with travel to communities as required from a Columbus, Ohio base.

The Medical Director will partner with clinical leadership, Advanced Practice Providers, and operational teams to drive resident health outcomes, quality improvement, regulatory compliance, and population health strategies. This is a strong fit for a physician with a genuine interest in older adult care and collaborative healthcare environments.

• Ensure 24-hour physician availability for emergency consultation and clinical support across the CCRC.
• Lead Quality Assurance and Performance Improvement (QAPI) initiatives and review clinical quality indicators.
• Oversee infection prevention and control programmes and support regulatory survey preparation and responses.
• Develop and review clinical policies and procedures to maintain compliance with federal, state, and organisational standards.
• Serve as collaborating physician and mentor for Advanced Practice Providers, including periodic chart audits.
• Support value-based care and population health programmes, and participate in business development discussions with prospective healthcare partners.

• MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school with a current, unrestricted state medical licence.
• Board Certification in Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, Geriatrics, or a related specialty.
• Demonstrated experience as a Medical Director or physician leader in senior living, long-term care, post-acute care, or value-based care settings.
• Solid knowledge of CMS regulations, infection prevention, quality improvement, and regulatory compliance.
• Experience working with interdisciplinary teams and Advanced Practice Providers.
• Strong communication, leadership, and relationship-building capabilities.
