A fractional Marketing Director is needed to build marketing capability from the ground up at a UK-based HR and recruitment technology startup, working closely with the founding team.
Myn is an early-stage technology startup operating in the HR and recruitment space. They are looking for a Fractional Marketing Director to work alongside the founding team to build the marketing function from scratch. This is a strategic and hands-on role requiring someone comfortable with ambiguity, capable of defining what good looks like before any specialists are brought in.
The director will take ownership of the full marketing system, from identifying who to sell to and how to position the product, through to designing a repeatable growth engine. Some time in London with the team is preferred, though the arrangement is flexible.
- Define marketing strategy and go-to-market approach for the business
- Develop segmentation frameworks and ICP definitions
- Conduct Jobs-to-be-Done research to inform positioning
- Craft brand narrative, messaging, and positioning for the platform
- Design and implement funnel architecture and measurement systems
- Set social media strategy and determine when to bring in specialist support
- Demonstrated experience marketing technology platforms or SaaS products
- Previous work with founders or founding teams in early-stage environments
- Ability to blend strategic direction-setting with practical execution
- Comfort building marketing capability from the ground up with limited resources
- Experience in HR or recruitment technology is beneficial but not required
- Ability to spend some time working in London with the team
