Interim Director of Accounting & Finance

CFS is seeking an experienced Interim Director of Accounting and Finance to provide hands-on leadership and continuity during a transition period for a healthcare services client based in Nashville, Tennessee. The role involves overseeing all core accounting functions, including AP, AR, collections, and financial reporting, while supporting internal audit initiatives and strengthening controls across domestic and overseas teams.

The successful candidate will also engage with banking partners, contribute to capital raise activity when required, and identify process improvement opportunities. This is a fully onsite, immediate-start engagement suited to a seasoned controller-level professional who can operate independently and provide executive-level financial guidance.

• Oversee accounts payable, accounts receivable, collections, and day-to-day accounting operations
• Review and interpret financial statements from internal and global staff to support leadership decision-making
• Support internal audit initiatives and strengthen accounting controls
• Lead and mentor both domestic and overseas accounting team members
• Identify process improvement opportunities and implement operational efficiencies
• Communicate with banking partners and support capital raise activities as needed

• Proven controller-level or senior accounting leadership experience required
• Sage Intacct proficiency required
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field preferred; CPA strongly preferred
• Demonstrated experience overseeing AP, AR, collections, and general accounting functions
• Strong foundation in accounting with advanced tax knowledge
• Available to work 100% onsite in Nashville, Tennessee and able to start immediately on an interim basis
