A fast-growing international SaaS firm is seeking a hands-on interim Controller to lead all accounting and financial operations on a fully remote basis. The successful candidate will bring deep controllership experience from a PE-backed, mid-sized SaaS environment, with post-acquisition accounting considered essential.
The role spans the full accounting function, including close processes, financial reporting, revenue recognition, cash management, and coordination with external auditors and tax advisers. The Controller will also partner with senior leadership on financial planning and operational initiatives, while driving process and control improvements across onshore and offshore teams. A CPA designation is required.
- Lead and mentor onshore and offshore accounting teams across all finance operations
- Own monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes end to end
- Prepare accurate financial statements and management reporting packages
- Manage SaaS revenue recognition in compliance with GAAP standards
- Oversee cash management, forecasting, budgeting, and variance analysis
- Coordinate audits, tax filings, and relationships with external advisers
- Identify and implement improvements to accounting processes, controls, and system efficiencies
- Partner with leadership on financial planning and key operational initiatives
- CPA designation required
- Hands-on controllership experience at a PE-backed, international SaaS organisation
- Post-acquisition accounting experience is essential
- Proven ability to lead and develop onshore and offshore accounting teams
- Strong command of GAAP, revenue recognition standards, and financial reporting
- Experience managing audits, tax coordination, and external advisers
