An interim Corporate Controller engagement to lead North American accounting operations and financial reporting for a global manufacturing company, overseeing a multi-country finance team.
LaSalle Network is placing an Interim Corporate Controller with a manufacturing client based in Prattville, Alabama. The role carries full responsibility for accounting operations across the United States, Canada and Mexico, including close processes, budgeting, forecasting and long-range planning. The controller will also coordinate external audits, maintain compliance with internal controls and tax requirements, and partner with executive leadership to support strategic business decisions.
This is a high-impact interim assignment suited to a CPA with seven or more years of progressive accounting experience, at least five years managing accounting teams, and a manufacturing or distribution background. Advanced US GAAP knowledge is required. Experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 and strong ERP and Excel skills are preferred.
- Lead accounting and financial reporting across US, Canada and Mexico in line with US GAAP
- Oversee monthly, quarterly and annual close processes and ensure accuracy of financial statements
- Manage budgeting, forecasting, long-range planning and financial analysis activities
- Coordinate external audits and oversee internal audit activities
- Ensure compliance with internal controls, tax regulations and corporate reporting standards
- Drive process improvements and champion adoption of financial technology tools
- CPA designation required; MBA preferred
- Seven or more years of progressive accounting and finance experience
- Five or more years leading and developing accounting teams
- Three or more years of manufacturing or distribution sector experience
- Advanced knowledge of US GAAP, financial reporting and internal controls
- Experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365, ERP systems and advanced Excel
