A remote Interim Controller engagement with a multi-entity, PE-backed healthcare organisation, overseeing accounting operations, close processes, financial reporting, and audit readiness for 4 to 6 months.
Addison Group is sourcing an Interim Controller on behalf of a PE-backed, multi-entity healthcare client based in Orlando, FL. The engagement is expected to run 4 to 6 months and is fully remote. The Controller will take ownership of day-to-day accounting operations across general ledger, accounts payable and receivable, payroll, and financial reporting, while supporting the organisation through a transition toward more automated processes in NetSuite.
The role carries meaningful scope across revenue cycle accounting, cash and treasury management, and audit readiness. The successful candidate will also partner closely with executive leadership and operations teams to resolve accounting issues, and will lead a small in-house accounting team. Prior experience in a PE-backed, acquisitive healthcare environment and a CPA qualification are strongly preferred.
- Lead all day-to-day accounting operations, including GL, AP, AR, payroll, and financial reporting
- Manage monthly, quarterly, and annual close cycles to deliver timely and accurate results
- Oversee revenue cycle accounting, including billing, collections, and integration with practice management systems
- Strengthen internal controls and accounting policies to maintain GAAP compliance and audit readiness
- Prepare financial statements and executive-level reports for leadership and PE stakeholders
- Support the team through a NetSuite automation transition while maintaining operational continuity
- 8 or more years of progressive accounting experience, including Controller-level or team leadership roles
- Strong command of GAAP, month-end close processes, internal controls, and audit coordination
- Hands-on NetSuite experience as a primary accounting system
- Accounting leadership experience within a multi-entity healthcare organisation
- Prior experience at a PE-backed company that acquires and integrates physician or provider practices
- CPA preferred; specialty healthcare background (eye care, dental, dermatology, or orthopedics) is an advantage
