Human Resources Director Consultant (Part-Time & Full-Time)

ConnectedHR provides fractional HR support to small and mid-sized organisations, partnering with leadership teams to deliver strategic, practical, and hands-on HR solutions. This W-2 consultant position involves a consistent, ongoing schedule supporting clients onsite during standard business hours throughout the Cleveland metropolitan area. It is a genuine fractional engagement, not a 1099 or side contract arrangement.

The successful consultant will balance advisory, strategic, and operational responsibilities across a diverse portfolio of client organisations. Core areas of expertise include HRIS and HCM system implementation, employment law compliance (ADA, FMLA, FLSA, EEO), leadership development, succession planning, performance management, compensation and benefits strategy, and employee relations investigations.

• Provide strategic and tactical HR consulting aligned to each client's business objectives
• Advise executives and leadership teams on complex people matters and organisational challenges
• Lead HR projects including HRIS and HCM system implementations and process improvements
• Guide organisational design, change management, and leadership development initiatives
• Conduct employee relations investigations and support corrective action processes
• Support talent acquisition, workforce planning, job design, and hiring process improvements

• Minimum 10 years of progressive HR Business Partner or HR leadership experience
• Bachelor's degree required; Master's degree preferred
• SPHR or SHRM-SCP certification strongly preferred
• Demonstrated experience leading HR projects and system implementations across core HR disciplines
• Executive presence with strong communication, relationship-building, and business acumen skills
• Ability to travel locally to client sites throughout the Cleveland metropolitan area
