Interim Head of Finance

This interim role leads the finance function across a growing, Private Equity-backed healthcare business. The successful candidate will own month-end and year-end close, prepare management accounts and board reports, and oversee budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management. Financial controls and reporting processes will need to be developed and maintained to a high standard.

The role also involves supporting the CFO on strategic initiatives and investor reporting, managing the annual audit, partnering with operational leaders for commercial insight, and supporting acquisition activity including due diligence, integration, and post-acquisition reporting. Mentoring and developing the finance team is a core expectation as the business scales.

• Lead day-to-day finance operations, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting
• Manage month-end and year-end close processes, including management accounts and board reports
• Oversee budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management
• Develop and maintain financial controls, systems, and reporting processes
• Support acquisition activity including due diligence, integration, and post-acquisition reporting
• Mentor and develop the finance team, and support the CFO on strategic and investor-related work

• ACA, ACCA, or CIMA qualified
• Experience in a Private Equity-backed environment, ideally within multi-site healthcare
• Strong technical accounting and financial reporting background
• Proven experience leading a finance team
• Exposure to acquisitions, integrations, or multi-site business structures
