General Counsel - Part Time - Boca Raton, FL

A rapidly growing consumer products company operating in a highly regulated industry is seeking a part-time General Counsel to join its executive leadership team. The role partners closely with ownership and senior leadership on corporate strategy, governance, regulatory compliance, enterprise risk management, and commercial transactions. This is an executive-facing position that goes well beyond legal advice, requiring a candidate who can actively shape business decisions and long-term objectives.

The successful candidate will bring at least 10 years of legal, compliance, or executive leadership experience in regulated industries, with a strong grounding in corporate governance, contracts, and risk management. Preferred backgrounds include multi-state operations, prior experience in cannabis or similarly regulated sectors, and exposure to corporate finance and complex business transactions.

• Advise executive leadership on strategic, regulatory, governance, and operational matters.
• Review, negotiate, and oversee commercial contracts and business agreements.
• Identify and mitigate legal, regulatory, financial, and operational risks across the organisation.
• Support board governance, corporate compliance, and enterprise-wide policy development.
• Manage relationships with outside counsel, regulators, lenders, and key stakeholders.
• Partner with leadership on growth initiatives, licensing matters, and corporate development opportunities.

• JD preferred with 10 or more years of legal, compliance, or executive leadership experience.
• Demonstrated experience in highly regulated industries.
• Strong background in corporate governance, contracts, compliance, and risk management.
• Proven ability to influence executive decision-making and contribute to business strategy.
• Excellent communication, leadership, and relationship-building skills.
• Preferred: multi-state operational experience and exposure to corporate finance or complex business transactions.
