Interim Financial Controller

Venteon Finance is seeking an Interim Financial Controller to lead the financial function at a multi-site, multi-division company's US corporate office in the metro Detroit area. The role reports to the CFO and Corporate Leadership Team, with a focus on stabilising and strengthening the accounting function across the organisation.

Key areas of focus include accounting clean-up initiatives, process development, revenue recognition, inventory management and analysis, and general ledger improvements. The controller will work alongside the CFO to assess and streamline current accounting activities, support internal and external audit preparation, and implement operational accounting changes where required.

• Collaborate with the CFO to standardise accounting procedures and processes across the organisation
• Prepare and provide supporting documentation for internal and external auditors
• Manage and guide ongoing accounting activities and financial reporting
• Lead accounting clean-up work and implement changes to the general ledger
• Support revenue recognition and inventory management analysis
• Assess, revamp and streamline existing accounting functions and activities

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
• CPA or CMA designation preferred
• Prior experience in a Controller or operational finance role with demonstrated leadership
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and the broader Office Suite
• Experience working in a multi-site, multi-division environment
• Familiarity with QuickBooks, NetSuite or Sage Intacct is beneficial
