Financial Controller (Part Time)

FoundersIQ is seeking a part-time fractional Financial Controller to support a portfolio of startup and established clients. The role covers preparation and review of financial statements, oversight of financial reporting processes, and day-to-day accounting management. The successful candidate will also deliver FP&A insights and strategic recommendations that help clients navigate growth efficiently.

This is a fully remote contract engagement suited to an experienced controller comfortable operating independently across multiple client accounts. ERP familiarity, particularly with NetSuite, is highly valued, and CPA certification is a plus.

• Prepare and review financial statements in accordance with applicable accounting standards
• Oversee financial reporting processes and ensure accuracy and timeliness
• Manage day-to-day accounting activities across multiple client accounts
• Perform detailed financial analysis and deliver FP&A insights to support business decisions
• Ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards and regulatory requirements
• Provide strategic financial recommendations to support client growth objectives

• 5+ years of experience in a financial controller role
• Demonstrated experience working with startups or in fast-paced environments
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with excellent written and verbal communication
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple remote client relationships
• Experience with ERP systems such as NetSuite, Microsoft 365, or Sage
• CPA or equivalent certification preferred; degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field advantageous
