Fractional Financial Controller

A growing technology consulting firm serving enterprise clients across AI, cloud, and infrastructure modernisation is seeking a fractional Controller to strengthen financial governance and reporting discipline across its U.S. and U.K. entities. This is a high-impact oversight position, not a transactional bookkeeping role. The Controller will ensure accuracy, enforce reporting schedules, and build scalable accounting infrastructure as the business continues to grow.

Existing outsourced accounting partners handle day-to-day transactional work. The Controller will direct those partners, review their output, and hold them accountable for quality and deadlines, while partnering directly with leadership to improve financial systems and controls.

• Oversee multi-entity and multi-currency financial reporting across U.S. and U.K. operations
• Establish and enforce monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting calendars
• Provide governance and compliance oversight across U.S. GAAP and U.K. GAAP
• Strengthen financial controls, reconciliation standards, and data integrity
• Document accounting processes and develop scalable standard operating procedures
• Direct, review, and hold outsourced accounting partners accountable for quality and deadlines

• Proven experience as a Controller or senior finance leader across multi-entity and multi-currency environments
• Solid working knowledge of both U.S. GAAP and U.K. GAAP
• Demonstrated ability to build and document scalable accounting processes and controls
• Experience managing and reviewing the work of outsourced accounting providers
• Comfortable operating at a strategic oversight level without direct ownership of transactional accounting
• Strong communication skills with the ability to partner directly with senior leadership
