Interim Finance Director

We Do Group is sourcing an Interim Finance Director for a fast-paced Reading business, covering a 4-6 month engagement at three days per week in the office. The role sits at the heart of the business, combining ownership of the Finance function with a strong commercial remit spanning FP&A, business partnering, pricing, investment decisions and transformation. The ideal candidate holds ACA qualification, brings experience from financial control into commercial finance, and is comfortable operating at Finance Director or senior Head of Finance level.

Candidates with backgrounds in high-growth, PE-backed or listed environments are particularly encouraged. The post requires someone who can move between the numbers, the people and the commercial agenda without losing momentum.

• Partner senior leadership to shape commercial and operational decisions across the business
• Lead budgeting, forecasting and longer-term financial planning processes
• Drive performance across revenue, margin, costs, cash and working capital
• Improve financial reporting so it tells a clear story behind the numbers
• Support pricing, investment decisions and business case development
• Lead, coach and develop the Finance team while strengthening controls and governance

• ACA qualified with a strong technical grounding in financial control and governance
• Proven track record at Finance Director, Commercial Finance Director or senior Head of Finance level
• Deep experience in commercial finance, FP&A and business partnering
• Ability to engage and challenge senior stakeholders with confidence
• Experience in a high-growth, PE-backed or listed business is advantageous
• Available to work three days per week on-site in Reading for 4-6 months
