Interim Finance Director

This is a broad, hands-on interim Finance Director role at an international media business, brought in to provide senior leadership during a period of organisational change. The position carries responsibility across FP&A, financial control and finance operations, ensuring the function continues to perform while supporting the team through transition.

The role also requires overseeing several active finance transformation projects, including ERP implementation, reporting improvements and process redesign. The successful candidate will be pragmatic and credible, capable of balancing strategic priorities with the day-to-day demands of a complex, matrixed finance environment.

• Maintain month-end, quarter-end and management reporting to a high standard
• Lead budgeting, forecasting and performance reporting processes
• Improve forecasting accuracy across complex commercial relationships
• Provide clear financial insight and decision support to senior leadership
• Maintain robust controls, governance, compliance and audit readiness
• Coach and support senior finance team members, and oversee ERP and process-improvement projects

• Significant UK Finance Director experience across FP&A, management reporting and financial control
• Proven track record leading international finance teams within complex, matrixed organisations
• Pragmatic, hands-on approach with the ability to balance strategic and operational demands
• Strong stakeholder management skills at senior leadership level
• Experience supporting a finance function through organisational change or transformation
