Interim Finance Director

This interim assignment sits inside a PE-backed manufacturing business that is entering active exit preparation. The Finance Director will take ownership of the finance function, ensuring it is fully prepared to withstand deal scrutiny. The role demands someone who has navigated a PE-backed exit before and can operate at pace alongside senior leadership and the equity sponsor.

The assignment covers strengthening reporting, controls and financial processes, leading modelling and scenario analysis, and driving cross-functional improvements quickly. Immediate availability is required, along with a track record in manufacturing, industrials or similarly complex operational environments.

• Drive exit readiness across the finance function, ensuring reporting and controls meet deal standards
• Lead financial modelling, forecasting and scenario analysis to support exit preparation
• Business partner senior leadership and the PE sponsor on key commercial decisions
• Own priority finance projects and ad hoc workstreams as they arise
• Identify process and control gaps, then implement improvements at pace
• Provide hands-on leadership and direction across the broader finance team

• Proven experience as an Interim Finance Director through a PE-backed exit process
• Strong track record of delivery in interim or fractional FD roles
• Background in manufacturing, industrials or a complex operational environment preferred
• Strong technical finance capability including modelling, forecasting and commercial analysis
• Comfortable working at pace with senior stakeholders and private equity sponsors
• Immediately available to start
