A leading global media organisation is looking for an experienced Interim Finance Director for an initial 9-month assignment. Reporting directly to the CFO, the successful candidate will provide strategic financial leadership during a period of business transformation and commercial growth, working alongside senior leadership across the business.
The role spans financial planning and analysis, month-end and year-end reporting, statutory compliance, business partnering with operational and commercial teams, and leading a high-performing finance function. The director will also drive improvements to processes, controls, and governance frameworks, acting as a trusted advisor to executive leadership throughout the engagement.
- Lead budgeting, forecasting, and long-range planning processes for the organisation.
- Deliver financial analysis and KPI reporting to support commercial decision-making at the executive level.
- Oversee month-end, year-end, and statutory reporting requirements.
- Ensure robust financial controls, governance, and regulatory compliance are maintained.
- Partner with operational and commercial stakeholders across multiple business areas.
- Lead, develop, and support a high-performing finance team through ongoing transformation initiatives.
- Fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent).
- Demonstrated experience operating at Finance Director level within a sizeable organisation.
- Background in media, entertainment, technology, digital, or other fast-paced consumer-facing sectors.
- Strong financial planning, analysis, reporting, and controls experience.
- Proven ability to influence senior stakeholders and lead teams through periods of change.
- Available to commence within a short notice period.
