An interim Finance Director is needed to lead the finance function at an investor-backed technology business preparing for a potential private equity exit, covering due diligence, forecasting and board reporting.
A high-growth, investor-backed technology business is seeking an experienced Interim Finance Director to provide hands-on financial leadership through a potential private equity sale. Reporting to the CEO and working alongside shareholders and external advisers, the successful candidate will maintain control of the finance function while taking a central role in exit preparation and transaction delivery.
This is a commercially focused assignment spanning approximately nine months, based in London. The role requires someone capable of preparing the business, its reporting, and its financial information for a transaction, while simultaneously maintaining day-to-day financial operations and supporting the management team in articulating the company's financial performance and growth potential to prospective investors.
- Lead the finance workstream throughout the exit and due diligence process
- Prepare the data room and respond to financial and commercial information requests from potential investors
- Support quality of earnings, financial due diligence and valuation analysis
- Strengthen forecasting, cash flow management and board reporting processes
- Develop robust financial models to underpin the business plan and growth narrative
- Maintain financial control and provide effective day-to-day leadership of the finance team
- Qualified accountant with significant Finance Director-level experience
- Proven track record leading finance through a successful exit to private equity
- Strong background in a technology, software or technology-enabled business
- Demonstrable experience of exit preparation, due diligence and transaction delivery
- Comfortable managing external advisers, investors and senior stakeholders under pressure
