Interim Finance Director | Real Estate | Immediate Start

This interim Finance Director role sits within a specialist real estate investment and development business based in London. The successful candidate will take senior, hands-on responsibility for the finance function from day one, managing a team of three and working closely with senior leadership across the business.

Key areas of focus include financial control and management accounting, covenant reporting, lender and debt provider relationships, governance across management companies and SPVs, and oversight of outsourced accounts payable, payroll and SPV administration. The role also involves improving management reporting processes and reducing reliance on spreadsheet-based workflows. Immediate availability or a very short notice period is essential.

• Own financial control and management accounting across the business
• Manage lender and debt provider relationships, including covenant reporting
• Oversee cash management and governance across management companies and property structures
• Supervise outsourced accounts payable, payroll and SPV administration
• Strengthen management reporting and reduce reliance on Excel-based processes
• Lead and develop a finance team of three

• Experience in real estate asset management, investment management or real estate debt finance
• Strong financial control and management reporting skills, with comfort operating at a detailed level
• Ability to take ownership quickly and embed within a lean finance function
• Immediate availability or a very short notice period
• Broader investment management backgrounds considered alongside real estate-specific experience
