Enterprise Project Manager - Executive (Interim Director)

This six-month contract engagement is suited to an experienced executive-level project and operations leader who can provide interim director-level oversight during a period of significant organisational change. The successful candidate will stabilise operations, maintain continuity of critical technology services, and lead transformation initiatives while evaluating existing infrastructure and service delivery practices.

Key focus areas include aligning operational procedures to established standards, improving customer engagement processes, establishing governance and decision-making frameworks, guiding resource allocation and budget planning, supervising staff, and delivering strategic recommendations, transition planning, and succession documentation to support long-term operational success. Candidates must be located within a commutable distance to Columbia, SC and legally authorised to work in the United States without employer sponsorship.

• Stabilise operations and maintain continuity of critical technology services during organisational transition
• Lead large, complex technology projects and organisational transformation initiatives
• Establish governance frameworks and decision-making practices aligned to operational maturity standards
• Supervise personnel, set performance expectations, and manage outcomes and accountability
• Guide resource allocation, budget planning, and service delivery optimisation
• Deliver transition planning, succession documentation, and strategic recommendations to leadership

• Bachelor's degree required
• 8+ years leading organisational transformation, change management, and service delivery optimisation
• 8+ years managing large, complex technology projects
• 8+ years in personnel management, coaching, and performance accountability
• Experience with governance and operational maturity frameworks preferred
• Experience managing organisational change in higher education or research environments preferred
