Global Edge Group
Interim Director of Operations & Transformation
An interim operations and transformation leadership role at a global staffing firm, focused on process redesign, cross-functional collaboration, and technology-enabled efficiency improvements.
Global Edge Group is seeking an interim Director of Operations and Transformation to drive measurable improvement across its business operations. This is a hands-on role spanning process redesign, cross-functional coordination, and technology enablement, with a focus on identifying inefficiencies and converting them into sustainable operational gains.
The director will work closely with internal leaders, external consultants, and technology partners to move initiatives from concept through to implementation. Priorities include embedding continuous improvement practices, supporting shared services scalability, and deploying automation and AI solutions where they deliver practical benefit to the organisation.
- Identify and lead end-to-end process improvement initiatives, reducing bottlenecks, duplication, and unclear ownership across business operations.
- Improve communication, coordination, and ways of working between departments, resolving gaps at key functional interfaces.
- Coordinate with internal stakeholders, vendors, and consultants to deliver technology-enabled and automation-driven operational changes.
- Translate business priorities into clearly defined improvement initiatives with milestones, ownership, and measurable outcomes.
- Support the development and standardisation of shared services to improve scalability and responsiveness.
- Establish governance, escalation mechanisms, and process ownership structures to sustain improvements over time.
- Progressive leadership experience across operations, transformation, process improvement, or management consulting.
- Demonstrated track record improving end-to-end business processes and delivering operational efficiency gains.
- Experience coordinating cross-functional projects involving process, technology, and organisational change.
- Exposure to automation, AI-enabled solutions, and shared services models is preferred.
- Strong stakeholder management, project management, and communication skills.
- Experience in staffing, professional services, or a fast-moving growth-oriented environment is advantageous.
