Fractional Director of Technology (Advisor Network)

Arootah maintains a curated network of senior operators deployed on project-based engagements across the alternative investment industry. Advisors are matched to client needs as they arise, covering areas such as technology strategy, cloud architecture, cybersecurity, system integrations, and data governance. Arootah manages client origination and engagement coordination, allowing advisors to focus on delivery.

This is a network membership role, not a confirmed active engagement. Placement depends on client demand and fit. Engagements are typically ad-hoc and short-to-medium in duration, designed to work alongside existing commitments.

• Advise alternative investment clients on technology strategy, architecture, and roadmap decisions
• Lead technical delivery across project-based engagements with hedge funds, private equity firms, and family offices
• Design and implement cloud and system integration solutions suited to financial-services environments
• Manage vendors and third-party technology providers on behalf of clients
• Provide guidance on cybersecurity practices and data governance frameworks
• Operate as a client-facing senior technology lead across short-to-medium-term engagements

• Senior operator background in financial-services technology, ideally within alternative investments
• Demonstrable expertise in cloud infrastructure, cybersecurity, and system integrations
• Strong vendor and project management capabilities
• Experience advising or leading technology functions at hedge funds, private equity firms, or family offices
• Availability for ad-hoc, project-based engagements that complement existing commitments
