Consulting: Director of Finance

This consulting engagement places an experienced Director of Finance inside a well-established manufacturing client to lead all financial functions. The role spans strategic planning, month-end and year-end close, financial statement preparation, regulatory compliance, and external audit coordination. The director will also develop annual budgets, build financial models and forecasts, assess market risks and investment opportunities, and advise leadership on cost-reduction and revenue-enhancement initiatives.

• Lead the financial department, setting strategic goals and overseeing all day-to-day financial activities
• Manage month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring accuracy and regulatory compliance
• Prepare financial statements, income statements, balance sheets, tax returns, and government reports
• Develop and manage the annual budget, including forecasts and financial models
• Coordinate with external auditors and maintain robust internal controls
• Analyse financial risks, market conditions, and investment opportunities, and advise on cost-reduction and revenue-enhancement strategies

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field; Master's degree or CPA strongly preferred
• Minimum five years of experience in a senior financial management role, ideally within manufacturing
• Proven capability across month-end close, annual budgeting, financial reporting, and year-end close processes
• Strong knowledge of corporate finance, governance, and general management best practices
• Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills with a strategic and analytical mindset
• Proficient with MS Office and financial management software
