Interim Director of Finance

Alliance Resource Group is recruiting an interim Senior Manager or Director of Financial Planning and Analysis for a category-leading consumer products company based in West Los Angeles. The engagement is contract-based with a potential path to a permanent leadership position. The successful candidate will step into a highly visible role and assume immediate ownership of the FP&A function, providing both hands-on execution and strategic support to senior leadership during a period of continued growth and transition.

The role demands someone who can assess an existing finance environment quickly, establish credibility without hand-holding, and keep critical reporting and planning processes running without disruption. Experience in consumer products, skincare, retail, or e-commerce is strongly preferred. The position is hybrid and available for an immediate start on a confidential basis.

• Assume ownership of forecasting, budgeting, and management reporting from day one
• Maintain and enhance financial models covering revenue, gross margin, operating expenses, and headcount
• Lead monthly budget-to-actual and forecast variance analysis for senior leadership
• Partner with Accounting to ensure accurate and timely management reporting
• Collaborate with Sales, Marketing, Operations, and Supply Chain to support cross-functional decision-making
• Develop KPI reporting and executive-level financial presentations, and identify opportunities to improve profitability and forecasting accuracy

• 10 to 15 or more years of progressive finance experience with significant FP&A responsibility at Senior Manager or Director level
• Exceptional financial modelling, forecasting, and budgeting capabilities with strong command of the P&L
• Advanced Excel skills and working experience with ERP and business intelligence tools
• Demonstrated ability to integrate into a new organisation quickly and operate as both a strategic partner and individual contributor
• Strong executive presence and clear communication skills with senior stakeholders
• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business, or a related discipline
