Highspring is recruiting an interim Director of FP&A to lead financial planning for a PE-backed manufacturing client during a critical transitional period. The engagement centres on executing a rigorous annual budget across multiple plants and overhauling lender reporting to maintain strict covenant compliance. The successful candidate will partner closely with operations, finance, and PE sponsors.
The contract is structured for 3-6 months and requires regular onsite presence in Florida. The role demands deep PE portfolio experience, strong manufacturing finance credentials, and the ability to translate operational metrics such as OTIF, scrap rates, and utilisation into clear financial outcomes for lenders and board stakeholders.
- Lead the annual budgeting process across multiple manufacturing plants and business units
- Build bottom-up capacity, labour, and raw material cost models in partnership with operations teams
- Prepare monthly and quarterly lender reporting packages covering credit facility performance
- Calculate and forecast financial covenants including leverage ratios and interest coverage
- Manage treasury cash flow forecasting to optimise liquidity and debt drawdowns
- Identify working capital improvements within inventory and accounts receivable
- 10+ years in corporate finance, with at least 2 years as an FP&A Director in PE-backed environments
- Demonstrated track record in manufacturing, production, or supply chain finance
- Advanced Excel data modelling skills and experience with ERP systems such as SAP or NetSuite
- Strong ability to present financial data clearly to lenders and board members
- Immediate availability to begin a 3-6 month contract commitment
- Willingness and ability to travel regularly and maintain onsite presence in Florida
