An interim FP&A Director role working alongside the CFO to establish financial planning processes, build forecasting models, and improve reporting infrastructure within a growing organisation.
East 57th Street Partners is placing an experienced Interim Director of FP&A with a growing client seeking to build and scale its finance function. Working directly with the CFO, this hands-on role covers the full spectrum of financial planning, from annual budgets and rolling forecasts through to long-range plans and scenario analyses. The engagement is remote with occasional travel as required.
The successful candidate will develop executive reporting packages, KPI dashboards, and performance metrics while also helping to define team structures and standardise forecasting methodologies. Experience in private equity-backed or high-growth environments is preferred, and the role offers immediate start with potential for extension.
- Partner with the CFO to develop and implement financial planning and forecasting processes
- Lead the creation of annual budgets, rolling forecasts, and long-range financial plans
- Build and refine financial models to support strategic initiatives and operational decisions
- Prepare monthly and quarterly reporting packages, including KPIs and performance dashboards, for executive leadership
- Establish standardised reporting frameworks, forecasting methodologies, and finance team workflow structures
- Collaborate with operations, sales, and other departments to identify opportunities for revenue growth, margin improvement, and cost optimisation
- 8 to 12 or more years of finance and FP&A experience, including prior leadership at Director level or equivalent
- Strong expertise in financial modelling, forecasting, and performance analysis
- Demonstrated experience working closely with CFOs and senior executive teams
- Advanced proficiency in Excel and financial modelling techniques
- Experience with systems such as NetSuite, Adaptive Planning, Tableau, or Power BI is advantageous
- Ability to build scalable FP&A processes within fast-growing or evolving organisations
