Director Advisory Services

This role sits within Premier Inc.'s Advisory Services practice, working alongside a team of consulting specialists to deliver performance improvement outcomes to health system clients. The Director carries primary responsibility for billable client engagements, leading delivery across projects of varying scale and duration. Accountabilities span analytics oversight, quality assurance of deliverables, project budget and profitability management, risk identification, and stakeholder engagement from clinical staff through to administrative leadership.

Beyond delivery, the Director contributes to practice growth through active participation in business development, including RFP responses, sales calls, and statements of work. The position also involves mentoring and developing junior consultants, contributing to internal practice initiatives, and maintaining subject matter expertise in areas such as health system finance, operations, or decision support analytics. Significant domestic travel is required.

• Lead and oversee data analyses, draw conclusions, and ensure quality assurance across all client deliverables.
• Manage project budgets, expenses, and profitability for assigned engagements.
• Build and maintain client relationships across clinical, physician, and administrative levels.
• Supervise, mentor, and develop consulting staff assigned to projects.
• Participate in business development activities including RFP responses, sales calls, and statements of work preparation.
• Identify add-on sales opportunities within active engagements and communicate these to engagement leadership.

• 7 or more years of applicable consulting or advisory experience.
• Bachelor's degree required; master's degree, RN licence, PMP, or Lean certification preferred.
• Demonstrated expertise in health system finance, clinical or operational performance, strategic planning, or decision support analytics.
• Experience leading cross-functional teams to successful outcomes.
• Strong qualitative analysis and strategic problem-solving capability.
• Ability to travel domestically 81-100% of the time.
