Data Operations Analyst (Contractor)
A 12-month contract role managing data governance, enrichment, and validation to maintain accurate GTM sales and customer data at Palo Alto Networks. US Citizenship required.
This contract Data Operations Analyst position sits within the Data Operations Team at Palo Alto Networks, reporting to the Director of Data Operations. The role focuses on maintaining the integrity and reliability of critical go-to-market data, directly supporting sales velocity, reporting accuracy, and customer experience. The analyst will manage high-priority escalations, monitor data trends, and drive continuous improvement across systems and policies.
The position requires extensive cross-functional collaboration with GTM Business Operations, Customer Support, IT, Finance, and Sales Operations. It is a 12-month assignment based in Santa Clara, CA (Hybrid), and US Citizenship is required due to FedRAMP support obligations. Compensation is $50 to $55 per hour, offered through Magnit staffing.
- Manage on-demand data enrichment processes and conduct data quality and hygiene audits, including account mapping evaluations.
- Prioritise and resolve a high volume of data service requests within defined SLAs.
- Execute complex account hierarchy updates, deduplication, and firmographic data validation using public and third-party sources.
- Enforce established data standards and policies consistently across teams to maintain data integrity.
- Perform large-scale account updates and hierarchy resolutions to drive measurable improvements in data accuracy.
- Monitor data trends and dashboard results, identifying error rates and proposing process enhancements via Tableau and Google Sheets.
- Advanced proficiency in Google Sheets required; experience with Tableau, BigQuery, and Salesforce (including SOQL and Salesforce Inspector) strongly preferred.
- Demonstrated ability to investigate and validate data integrity with a high degree of attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and operate independently in a fast-paced environment.
- Proven experience collaborating cross-functionally with IT, Finance, and Sales Operations teams.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English, including managing stakeholder escalations.
- US Citizenship required for FedRAMP compliance support.
