Fractional CTO (Client-Facing / Delivery & Stakeholder Management)

KRON Development is seeking a fractional CTO to support its internal CTO and lead client-facing technical engagements on a part-time, fully remote basis. The person in this role will serve as the executive-level connection between clients and engineering teams, owning stakeholder communication, shaping delivery strategy, and translating complex technical realities into clear business outcomes.

This is a consulting-style leadership position suited to someone with deep engineering and technical leadership experience who can work independently, manage expectations proactively, and help clients make confident product and engineering decisions without taking on a full-time executive commitment. The studio partners with clients across Europe, the Middle East, and the US, spanning web, mobile, and AI products.

• Lead client-facing technical strategy sessions including discovery, roadmap reviews, and executive stakeholder calls
• Support account leadership by managing communication, alignment, and escalation on behalf of the KRON CTO
• Define and validate product direction, clarifying goals, scope, constraints, success metrics, and risks
• Shape solution architecture and delivery approach, advising on stack, integrations, build vs. buy, and scalability trade-offs
• Translate business requirements into engineering execution via epics, user stories, acceptance criteria, and delivery milestones
• Produce crisp documentation including meeting notes, decision logs, and executive-ready status updates, while identifying opportunities for lightweight process improvements across the delivery lifecycle

• 10+ years in senior engineering and/or technical leadership roles such as Tech Lead, Architect, Head of Engineering, VP Engineering, or CTO
• Native-level English proficiency, spoken and written, with confidence leading calls with US clients and executive stakeholders
• Strong understanding of modern software delivery across web, mobile, APIs, cloud infrastructure, data, and AI
• Demonstrated ability to align diverse stakeholders and translate between business and engineering contexts
• Comfortable operating in US time zones and adapting to US communication styles
• Highly organised and self-directed, able to work independently in a fully remote environment with minimal oversight
