Intellicheck provides real-time identity verification by analysing DMV-issued ID data to detect fake or altered documents. Its hardware-neutral, omnichannel SaaS platform serves major banks, credit card issuers, title insurance companies, and law enforcement agencies across North America.
The interim CTO will step in during a period of assessment and transition, taking a hands-on, operational approach rather than a long-term strategic one. Priorities include evaluating the existing technology organisation, identifying process and delivery gaps, strengthening accountability across the engineering team, and ensuring critical initiatives remain on track. The role requires rapid credibility-building and close collaboration with executive leadership.
- Assess the current technology infrastructure, software architecture, and active project portfolio to identify immediate risks and gaps.
- Stabilise software development operations and improve execution consistency across the engineering team.
- Evaluate technical talent and organisational structure, providing objective recommendations on staffing and team design.
- Collaborate with executive leadership to prioritise operational issues and translate technical findings into clear business terms.
- Strengthen accountability mechanisms and delivery practices across technology and vendor relationships.
- Prepare documentation and transition materials to support a permanent technology leader once appointed.
- 10 or more years of progressive technology leadership, including experience as a CTO, CIO, VP of Engineering, or equivalent senior role.
- Demonstrated ability to assess an existing technology organisation quickly and identify operational, staffing, and process issues.
- Strong knowledge of software development, system architecture, infrastructure, and cybersecurity principles.
- Proven track record managing software development teams and improving project delivery outcomes.
- Excellent communication skills, including the ability to present technical issues clearly to non-technical executives.
- Strong business and financial acumen, with the ability to operate effectively with minimal ramp-up time.
