Chief Procurement Officer (Contractor/1099)

ISG is seeking a Chief Procurement Officer on a contractor (1099) basis to lead its global procurement and sourcing function from its Sandy Springs, GA office. The CPO will be responsible for developing and executing procurement strategy aligned with corporate objectives, overseeing supplier relationships, contract negotiations, and procurement operations across all spend categories. The role spans cost optimisation, risk and compliance programs, ESG and responsible sourcing initiatives, and procurement technology platforms.

The contractor will work closely with finance, legal, and operations teams to drive value creation and supply chain resilience. There is a possibility this role converts to a full-time position. Candidates must have 15 or more years in procurement or supply chain leadership, including at least 8 years at executive level.

• Develop and execute enterprise-wide procurement and sourcing strategy aligned with corporate goals
• Oversee strategic sourcing, category management, and supplier performance across all spend areas
• Negotiate high-value contracts, pricing agreements, and supplier terms
• Build and manage supplier risk programs covering operational, financial, geopolitical, and sustainability risks
• Drive procurement transformation initiatives and continuous improvement across processes and technology platforms
• Lead, coach, and develop high-performing procurement teams and talent pipelines

• 15 or more years of progressive experience in procurement, sourcing, supply chain, or commercial leadership
• 8 or more years in senior executive-level procurement roles
• Proven track record managing large-scale procurement operations and strategic supplier relationships
• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Finance, Engineering, or a related field (MBA preferred)
• Preferred certifications: CPSM, MCIPS/FCIPS, CSCP, or Lean Six Sigma
• Must be available to work on-site in Sandy Springs, GA as a 1099 contractor
