Interim Corporate Controller

A high-growth, PE-backed consumer products organisation is seeking an interim Corporate Controller to lead global accounting operations and lift the finance function to best practice. The role carries direct exposure to executive leadership, board members, and private equity investors, making it well suited to a senior accounting leader ready to operate at enterprise scale.

This is a contract engagement with the potential to extend long term, based on a hybrid working arrangement north of Boston. The successful candidate will own financial reporting accuracy, drive process and system improvements, and build a scalable accounting infrastructure capable of supporting continued growth.

• Lead global accounting operations covering GL, AP, AR, cash management, and working capital
• Own the month-end close process and deliver accurate, timely financial reporting
• Partner with executive leadership to provide clear analysis of financial performance and key variances
• Drive process improvements, system enhancements, and scalable accounting infrastructure
• Build, mentor, and develop a high-performing accounting team
• Support interactions with lenders, board members, and private equity stakeholders

• Progressive experience in accounting leadership at Controller or Director level
• Background in manufacturing, retail, distribution, or CPG environments preferred
• Experience operating within global organisations and leading international teams
• Exposure to mid-to-large scale companies, beyond early-stage or small-revenue environments
• Strong executive presence with effective communication skills for senior leadership and investors
• CPA qualification or public accounting foundation preferred but not required
