Fractional Chief Operating Officer / Operations Advisor

Via Logic is a growing small business supporting federal and commercial clients across operations, contracts, security compliance, and delivery. The company is seeking a fractional COO to serve as a strategic advisor to its founders and principal, providing executive guidance across organisational growth, mergers and acquisitions, operational maturity, and long-term business planning.

This is primarily an advisory engagement, initially capped at 10 hours per month, with scope covering business operations, people and talent strategy, vendor and partnership management, financial operations, and contract compliance. Limited hands-on support may be agreed for selected priorities within the approved scope. The role is remote and requires availability during Eastern Time business hours.

• Advise founders on organisational structure, strategic priorities, and operational sequencing across multiple business functions.
• Guide planning around people and talent strategy, hiring, performance frameworks, and workforce readiness.
• Provide executive-level guidance on financial operations, reporting structure, forecasting, and readiness for growth events or transactions.
• Advise on vendor relationships, strategic partnerships, and external business dependencies and risks.
• Review contract and compliance obligations including government contracting requirements, NDAs, subcontracts, and SAM.gov matters.
• Support transaction readiness and due diligence planning related to contracts, compliance, security, and organisational risk.

• 15 or more years of executive leadership, corporate strategy, M&A, transaction advisory, or equivalent experience.
• Demonstrated experience advising founders or executive teams through acquisitions, integrations, due diligence, or significant growth events.
• Ability to assess needs across multiple business functions including finance, people, contracts, compliance, and delivery operations.
• Strong executive communication, analytical, and decision-support skills with comfort operating independently in a fractional capacity.
• Experience with government contracting environments, compliance obligations, and security-related operational requirements preferred.
• Prior fractional COO, executive advisory, or corporate development background strongly preferred.
