Interim Chief Operations Officer

A private equity-backed Contract Development and Manufacturing Organisation is seeking an Interim Chief Operating Officer to lead manufacturing and supply chain operations across an international platform. Reporting to the CEO, the role carries responsibility for driving operational performance, building a unified operating model, and strengthening planning and execution capabilities across multiple sites.

The engagement is a 6 to 12 month contract requiring presence in the United States with international travel. The Interim COO will own governance, KPI frameworks and integrated planning, while leading transformation programmes and supporting acquisition integration across the broader manufacturing network.

• Lead all manufacturing and supply chain activities across the organisation's international site network.
• Implement a consistent operating model, governance structure and KPI framework.
• Own integrated planning, capacity management and operational performance reviews.
• Drive operational excellence, business transformation and turnaround initiatives.
• Support acquisition integration and scalability across the manufacturing platform.
• Develop and coach site leadership teams to build accountability and improve execution.

• Prior experience at COO, VP Operations, SVP Operations or equivalent senior leadership level.
• Strong multi-site manufacturing background, ideally within a CDMO, medical device or regulated life sciences environment.
• Demonstrated track record leading operational turnarounds, transformations and performance improvement programmes.
• Deep expertise across manufacturing, supply chain, planning and operational excellence disciplines.
• Strong Lean and continuous improvement credentials.
• Experience operating within private equity-backed businesses preferred.
