Part-Time Fractional Controller | Construction Finance | Remote

Orchestra HQ is a fractional CFO and back-office advisory firm specialising exclusively in the construction industry. The team works alongside general contractors, subcontractors, and specialty trades across the New York metro area. This fractional Controller position starts part-time at 10 or more hours per week, with a clear path to grow into a fractional CFO role over time.

The Controller serves as the primary client contact, owning financial reporting, WIP schedules, job cost oversight, AIA billing support, and cash flow management. The role also involves collaboration with the wider CFO advisory team and occasional travel to NYC client sites as required.

• Prepare and maintain financial reports, WIP schedules, and job cost tracking for construction clients
• Provide AIA billing support and oversee cash flow management
• Act as the primary point of contact for client engagements
• Collaborate with the CFO team on advisory deliverables and client strategy
• Travel to NYC client sites on an as-needed basis
• Work toward expanding scope into a fractional CFO capacity over time

• 5 to 10 or more years of experience in a Senior Accountant, Assistant Controller, or Controller role
• Experience with construction industry accounting, including AIA billing, WIP, and job costing
• Proficiency in QBO, Sage, Acumatica, or comparable accounting platforms
• Comfortable working in a fractional or part-time engagement structure
• Ability to travel to New York City client sites as required
• Ambition to grow into a broader fractional CFO role over time
