Part-time Controller

Kforce's client, a growing manufacturing and distribution organisation in the St. Louis area, is seeking an experienced part-time Controller. The role is on-site and serves as a key financial resource to the President and operating leaders, delivering accurate reporting and actionable insights across the full accounting function.

The Controller will lead month-end and year-end close, manage cash flow forecasting, oversee accounts payable and receivable, maintain internal controls, monitor inventory valuation, support payroll and tax compliance, and contribute to financial due diligence for potential acquisitions. A CPA designation and experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 are advantageous.

• Lead monthly and year-end financial close processes and prepare financial statements and management reports
• Manage cash flow forecasting, banking activity, and working capital monitoring
• Oversee accounts payable and accounts receivable functions
• Establish, document, and maintain effective internal accounting controls
• Develop budgets, forecasts, and financial analyses, identifying risks and opportunities
• Coordinate tax compliance with external professionals and support financial due diligence for potential acquisitions

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
• Demonstrated Controller-level accounting experience, ideally in manufacturing or distribution
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and an ERP or accounting system
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
• Ability to work independently and translate financial information for non-financial leaders
• CPA and Microsoft Dynamics 365 experience are advantageous
