Fractional Controller - Client Accounting & Finance Services (Project Based)

This fractional Controller position sits within Keiter CPAs' Client Accounting and Finance Services practice. Engagements are project-based, with a typical commitment of 15 to 30 hours per week depending on scope and the number of active client engagements. The role is structured as a W-2 position with a hybrid working arrangement, combining remote work with on-site meetings at Keiter's office or client locations as required.

The successful candidate joins a team led by two finance and accounting professionals with a combined five decades of experience, and gains access to the broader expertise of a firm with over 200 professionals and 90 CPAs. Technical training and CPE credits are provided as part of ongoing professional development.

• Develop and monitor accounting controls to ensure accuracy and reduce the risk of fraud and waste.
• Rationalise chart of accounts structures for clients.
• Lead preparation of monthly financial statements and quarterly balance sheet reviews.
• Prepare account reconciliations and oversee standard tax filing processes.
• Create actionable financial reports and cash flow analyses for client decision-making.
• Participate in hybrid on-site and remote client engagements as business needs require.

• Solid experience in accounting or financial controller roles.
• Strong technical accounting skills including reconciliations, financial statement preparation, and internal controls.
• Familiarity with CPA standards and tax filing processes.
• Ability to manage multiple client engagements concurrently.
• Comfortable with a hybrid working arrangement including periodic on-site client visits.
• CPA qualification or equivalent relevant experience preferred.
