Fractional Controller

Astrocast is seeking a Fractional Controller to manage core accounting functions on a contract, remote basis. The role covers month-end and quarter-end close processes, general ledger oversight, and preparation of financial statements in accordance with IFRS or GAAP. The Controller will also support budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow monitoring to inform leadership decisions.

Beyond day-to-day accounting, this role involves evaluating and improving financial processes, refining ERP systems and reporting policies, and ensuring timely compliance with tax, audit, and regulatory requirements. The position requires clear communication with finance, operations, and executive stakeholders, and suits an experienced controller comfortable working independently in a fast-moving international environment.

• Manage month-end and quarter-end close processes, including journal entry review and general ledger reconciliation
• Prepare financial statements in compliance with IFRS or GAAP standards
• Coordinate budgeting and forecasting activities with internal stakeholders
• Monitor cash flow and support financial planning to assist leadership decision-making
• Evaluate and improve accounting processes, systems, and internal control policies
• Ensure timely compliance with tax, audit, and regulatory requirements

• Strong background in controllership, including general ledger management and month-end close processes
• Solid knowledge of IFRS or GAAP, internal controls, and regulatory compliance
• Experience with budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis in a strategic context
• Proficiency with ERP systems, spreadsheet tools, and financial reporting or BI platforms
• Relevant professional certification such as CPA, ACCA, or Chartered Accountant preferred
• Prior experience in technology, aerospace, telecommunications, or other fast-growing international environments is an advantage
