Part-Time Controller

AdSavants is a close-knit St. Louis advertising and marketing agency seeking a part-time Controller to take meaningful ownership of its financial function. The role combines time in the St. Louis office with remote flexibility, requiring roughly 2.5 to 3 days per week. The successful candidate will work directly with senior leadership, serving as the primary financial resource for the business.

Responsibilities span financial reporting and general ledger management, budgeting and forecasting, cash flow monitoring, accounts payable and receivable, payroll administration and employee benefits coordination. Strong GAAP knowledge and proficiency with QuickBooks are essential. Prior experience in an advertising agency environment is strongly preferred.

• Prepare monthly and quarterly financial statements, management reports and ad hoc analyses for agency leadership
• Manage the general ledger, journal entries, month-end close and internal controls
• Oversee accounts payable, accounts receivable, billing, credit card reconciliations and sales and use tax returns
• Develop and manage the annual budget, monitor variances and provide ongoing cash flow forecasting
• Process payroll, coordinate W-2s, 1099s and quarterly payroll tax filings, and administer employee benefits and retirement plans
• Liaise with the external CPA firm for annual federal and state tax filings and maintain all related financial records

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field
• Significant experience in accounting, financial reporting, budgeting and cash flow management
• Strong working knowledge of GAAP and applicable IRS requirements
• High proficiency with QuickBooks
• Ability to work independently in a small-company environment and communicate financial information clearly to non-financial colleagues
• Advertising agency experience strongly preferred
