Compliance Advisory Manager - Investments, Pensions & Financial Promotions

This role sits within Monzo's second line of defence, embedded in the Risk and Compliance Collective. The primary focus is advising the Wealth Collective, specifically the Investments and Pensions squads, with responsibility expanding over time to cover Growth and Marketing, and the MonzOS platform. The position reports to the Senior Compliance Advisory Manager and requires the ability to work independently while collaborating across multiple business collectives.

The successful candidate will provide clear, proactive compliance guidance on COBS, PROD, SDR, CASS, and Consumer Duty obligations. They will review customer journeys and communications, advise on financial promotion requirements, and oversee regulatory breaches and incidents as part of the wider compliance team. A compliance-by-design mindset is central to the approach expected in this role.

• Serve as the first point of contact for compliance advice across the Wealth Collective, with scope expanding to Growth and Marketing and MonzOS over time
• Provide proactive guidance on FCA COBS, PROD, SDR, CASS, and Consumer Duty regulations
• Review customer journeys and communications to identify risks and support good customer outcomes
• Advise Marketing and Financial Promotions teams on financial promotion rules and regulatory guidance
• Oversee and manage regulatory breaches and compliance incidents within the team
• Build knowledge across all supported collectives to proactively expand advisory coverage

• Strong working knowledge of Consumer Duty and FCA COBS rules
• Hands-on experience providing compliance advice, ideally within a bank, wealth manager, or fintech
• Proven ability to work independently and manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills across cross-functional teams
• Confident risk assessment capabilities with the ability to identify balanced, practical solutions
• Comfort with or active use of AI tools in day-to-day work
