Fractional Chief Information Security Officer (Advisor Network)

Successful candidates will have served as a CISO at an alternative asset firm or family office, with hands-on experience designing, building, and operating end-to-end cybersecurity programmes. Responsibilities span security architecture, incident response, regulatory compliance, and vendor risk management, all delivered within short-term client-facing engagements. Client origination and engagement coordination are managed by Arootah, allowing advisors to focus on delivery.

• Design, build, and operate comprehensive cybersecurity programmes for alternative asset and family office clients
• Define and implement security architecture appropriate to each client's risk profile
• Lead incident response planning and execution across client engagements
• Manage third-party and vendor risk assessments and ongoing monitoring
• Ensure regulatory and compliance alignment across relevant frameworks
• Deliver practical security roadmaps and controls within project-based timelines

• Prior experience serving as a Chief Information Security Officer at an alternative asset firm or family office
• Hands-on capability to implement cybersecurity controls, not solely advisory
• Deep familiarity with the regulatory and compliance landscape relevant to hedge funds, private equity, or family offices
• Ability to operate independently within short-term, client-facing engagements
• Strong communication skills to translate technical risk into business-relevant guidance
