An interim executive role leading Harbor Care's digital transformation and modernisation agenda for 18-24 months, covering AI adoption, EMR/EHR integration, data governance, and cybersecurity across the organisation.
Harbor Care seeks an Interim Chief of Digital Transformation to sit on the Executive Leadership Team and drive the organisation's multi-year digital strategy. The role spans responsible AI adoption, modernisation and integration of EMR/EHR, HRIS and financial/ERP systems, enterprise data governance, interoperability, cybersecurity, and technology risk management. The appointment is anticipated to run for 18-24 months.
The successful candidate will operate as an enterprise leader first, collaborating with other executives to surface risks, evaluate opportunities, and translate decisions into action. Direct reports include the Associate Director of Information Systems and the Associate Director of Information Technology. By the end of the engagement, the role is expected to deliver a prioritised digital roadmap, a governance model, a responsible AI framework, and documented operational readiness to support a long-term digital leadership structure.
- Develop and execute a multi-year digital transformation roadmap aligned with strategic and financial priorities
- Lead enterprise AI and automation strategy, including use-case prioritisation, governance, and vendor evaluation
- Oversee assessment, selection, and integration of core platforms including EMR/EHR, HRIS, and financial/ERP systems
- Establish enterprise data governance, interoperability, reporting, and analytics frameworks
- Ensure appropriate cybersecurity, privacy, infrastructure, and business continuity practices are in place
- Coach and develop technology leaders, including the Associate Directors, through delegation, mentoring, and clear development plans
- Minimum 10 years of progressively responsible experience in information technology, digital transformation, or health informatics
- Demonstrated experience leading enterprise digital strategy and large-scale technology implementations
- Proven ability to operate as an executive leader across functions, not solely as a technical expert
- Experience with AI governance, responsible adoption frameworks, and emerging technology evaluation
- Strong background in change management, stakeholder engagement, and workforce adoption of new technology
- Prior experience in healthcare, community health, or mission-driven non-profit environments preferred
