Build and own Ramp's institutional partnerships with leading global strategy consulting firms, developing go-to-market motions and negotiating formal agreements from the ground up.
This role sits at the centre of Ramp's effort to build structured, institutional relationships with top-tier global strategy consulting firms. These firms shape finance transformation and technology decisions for the CFOs and CEOs Ramp serves, and this person will own the full scope of those partnerships, from developing the initial thesis and relationship map through to negotiating formal agreements and establishing repeatable joint go-to-market motions.
It is a build-from-scratch remit. Ramp's relationships across this ecosystem are early and largely informal, so the hire must bring both executive credibility and operational rigour, coordinating across Sales, Customer Success, Product, and Marketing to deliver shared client outcomes and market-facing proof points.
- Own and develop Ramp's relationships with a portfolio of top-tier strategy and advisory firms, serving as the primary relationship owner with senior firm leadership
- Translate executive introductions into structured partnerships, including partnership thesis, relationship maps, executive sponsor plans, and target practice identification
- Negotiate and close the first formal agreements between Ramp and partner firms
- Coordinate cross-functional execution, bringing Account Executives, Customer Success Managers, Product, and AI Solutions teams into each firm relationship
- Build market-facing proof points in collaboration with marketing and product teams, including executive events, thought leadership, and shared client stories
- Establish and maintain operating cadences including firm plans, account maps, and progress tracking
- 4+ years of experience at a leading strategy consulting firm such as McKinsey, Bain, or BCG
- Strong executive presence with the ability to earn trust quickly and represent the organisation independently in senior-level meetings
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple work streams and complex stakeholder environments simultaneously
- Builder's instinct, comfortable operating without a playbook and bringing structure to ambiguous situations
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with sound judgement across executive and working-level contexts
- Willingness to travel approximately 25% and be based in a major metro, with New York preferred
