Zanda is partnering with a fast-growing, internationally backed SaaS business that is scaling across multiple entities and requires interim CFO support. The business is seeking someone to assess and strengthen the existing finance function, benchmarking it against best practice and implementing the processes appropriate for a multi-jurisdiction, scaling organisation.
This is approximately two days per week. The mandate is genuinely finance-focused, with an expectation that the right candidate will walk in, diagnose what is working, and build the foundations needed to support a future exit. The business has around 100 people and is backed by international investors, so candidates should be comfortable operating at that scale without being too early-stage or overly corporate in their approach.
- Assess the current state of the finance function and benchmark it against best practice for a scaling SaaS business
- Implement processes suited to a multi-jurisdiction, multi-entity organisation
- Support founders in evaluating the business for exit readiness
- Provide strategic financial leadership as the business continues to grow
- Evaluate finance team capability without assuming direct line management responsibility
- Guide the business through its next stage of growth with a clear, structured finance mandate
- Recent, direct experience in a SaaS business at a comparable stage of scale (approximately 100 people)
- Proven track record supporting genuinely fast-scaling companies, with clarity on the specific role played
- International and multi-entity finance experience
- At least one completed exit, ideally to a private equity firm, strategic acquirer, or trade buyer, with ability to discuss the specifics
- Comfortable assessing a finance team's capability without taking on line management
- Based in the UK or Europe
