Fractional CFO & Controller (Construction)

Trampetti is seeking an experienced construction finance professional to support a construction and environmental remediation client. The role combines executive CFO responsibilities with hands-on controller work, covering strategic financial planning, WIP and project-profitability oversight, joint venture accounting across related entities, and surety and bank package preparation. The successful candidate will work closely with ownership, project managers, and a full-time Assistant Controller to deliver a decision-ready view of financial position and project performance each month.

A structured monthly management package is required by the 15th of each following month, including consolidated and entity-level statements, actual-to-budget variances, a balance-of-year forecast, and an executive CFO commentary covering trends, risks, and recommended actions. Alaska Time availability is required.

• Lead strategic financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting, including a rolling 13-week cash-flow forecast
• Oversee WIP and project profitability, incorporating projected final margins and cost-to-complete analysis
• Set JV financial strategy and manage combined and consolidated financial reporting across related entities
• Run the monthly and year-end close, including balance sheet reconciliations, WIP schedule preparation, and job-cost reconciliation
• Oversee AP, AR, payroll, and general ledger integrity within Sage 100 Contractor
• Prepare financial packages for sureties and banks, and deliver a concise monthly management package with KPIs and CFO commentary

• 10 or more years of experience in construction accounting and finance at CFO or Controller level
• Demonstrated hands-on experience with Sage 100 Contractor across WIP, job costing, payroll, AP, GL, and reporting
• Working knowledge of percentage-of-completion accounting, retainage, and progress-billing cycles
• Experience with construction JV accounting and consolidated financial statements involving related entities
• Experience preparing financial packages for sureties, bonding agencies, and banks
• Availability to work Alaska Time (AKST/AKDT) and meet recurring monthly close deadlines
