Fractional Chief Financial Officer

This is a self-employed, portfolio-based role within The CFO Centre Canada's established network. You will work with ambitious, growing businesses typically generating between $2M and $100M in revenue, partnering with owners and leadership teams to address their most pressing financial challenges. The position suits experienced CFOs seeking flexibility and autonomy outside of a traditional corporate structure.

While regional and central teams provide lead generation support, the role requires a proactive approach to building and expanding your own client portfolio. You will operate across multiple client engagements simultaneously, bringing strategic financial guidance to each business you serve.

• Support business owners to scale operations and improve profitability
• Manage and improve cash flow positions across client businesses
• Guide clients through funding rounds, mergers and acquisitions, and exit planning
• Strengthen financial systems, internal controls, and reporting frameworks
• Build and maintain strong client relationships within your portfolio
• Contribute to the growth of the regional portfolio through proactive business development

• Proven experience as a CFO or senior finance leader within commercial or corporate environments
• Demonstrated ability to work across multiple client engagements or business contexts
• Strong capability in financial strategy, cash flow management, and stakeholder communication
• Self-motivated with the ability to operate independently in a portfolio career structure
• Mandarin or Cantonese language skills strongly preferred for the Greater Vancouver region
• Comfortable operating on a self-employed basis rather than as a salaried employee
